We would like to invite you to the Prague Dermatology Center, which is a private medical center accredited by the Czech Medical Chamber.

Dermatology, a science about skin diseases, ranks among the oldest branches of medicine. Nowadays, thanks to new diagnostical and curative methods and to all the attention attributed to human appearance, this medical branch is experiencing its renaissance. Skin changes, once incurable, can be treated by modern procedures. Moreover, these new procedures allow to influence natural processes in the skin, including its aging.

The Prague Dermatology Center was opened on the January 15th 2002 and it has been moved recently to the vicinity of University hospital Bulovka to Prague 8, Na Stráži 28. Since the very beginning of the Prague Dermatology Center, we have tried to offer something exceptional, hard or impossible to find in our republic and other countries of the former Eastern Europe. First of all, the chief of the Prague Dermatology Center – a head of the university clinic, is at the same time a lady chairman of the Czech Academy of Dermatovenerology and an executive comitee member of the International Society of Dermatology. Our center is also equipped with a new generation digital dermatoscope, the first one in the Czech Republic. A real novelty in our center´s equipment is ULTRASHAPE (ultrasound device for non-invasive removal of fat tissue, the first and only device in the Czech Republic) and EXCILITE, a fototherapeutic device for vitiligo (skin pigmentary disorder), which allows to treat this disease, once incurable. Other equipment of our center corresponds to the European standard, i. e. lasers for excessive hair coating, vascular disorders (epilation and vascular laser), a CO2 skin laser used for skin surface ablation, for benign skin tumour treatment, wrinkles, scars etc. An electrocauter for treatment of small skin defects, an operating-room for eye-lid plastic operations, a device for permanent make-up, a microscope and other devices constitute an integral part of the center and allow diagnosis and treatment in the entire range of dermatology.

Another branch in which the Prague Dermatology Center specializes is ophtalmology, a science about eye diseases. The specialized guarantor of this branch is a vice-head-physician of the university clinic. He has been dealing with surgery for a long time, which guarantees excellent results of eye-lid operations. Moreover, he specializes in contact lense application (he is a chairman of the Czech Contactological Association).
